What's a Pavão?

The word, "pavão," is Portuguese for "peacock." The tilde over the second 'a' means that vowel is pronounced nasally, kind of like the only correct way to say, "my girl robot." This can be hard on non-native speakers of Portuguese, especially since in some dialects the last vowel is not nasal. For the record, I am not a native speaker of Portuguese.

I haven't done too much Real Research into my family history, or the Pavao side in particular. There's some sort of nobility involved in the bloodline, although what sort or how much I cannot responsibly report as fact. From personal observation of my own family and other Pavaos I have made contact with, we all seem to have a talent for one or more of music, fighting, or alcohol. I know this sounds like a Pavao might be fun at the tavern, but don't forget that these are only my personal observations. There are lots of Pavaos out there.
